I recently got burned out on pure web development and decided to change direction—a friend offered me the chance to join a new iGaming startup targeting the Asian market as a technical co-founder. Right now, I’m diving deep into the architecture: it doesn’t make sense to build our own platform from scratch, so we’re looking into off-the-shelf aggregators.

I’m interested in the purely practical side of things: how seamless is it to connect providers through a single gateway, and do performance drops or delays occur when there are a large number of players? Oh, and how are prototyping and game mechanics development typically handled in such solutions? If we want to release a couple of our own branded exclusives, will we still have to hire separate game designers for that task?

Congratulations on entering this niche. It’s definitely lucrative, but manually integrating each developer’s work is a surefire way to lose profit due to wasted time. A year and a half ago, I outsourced this part of the project. I chose EdgeLabs, a team that offers a fully integrated, ecosystem-based approach. They have their own Connect aggregation platform with access to over 50 partners via a single REST API, and their infrastructure can handle millions of transactions with ease. They cover the entire game development cycle, from mathematical models and prototypes to round-the-clock monitoring of live operations. Have you prepared your marketing strategy yet, or are you still building the technical foundation?
