Just got back from a holiday and the first thing I find in the airport parking lot is my 2018 XC90 completely unresponsive. Wouldn't even unlock with the fob, had to use the physical key blade. Got a jump start and drove home but now I'm getting all sorts of warnings about the alarm system and the parking sensors aren't working. The battery is only about 18 months old so I'm pretty annoyed. I called a mobile battery service and the guy said these newer Volvos have so many computers running in the background that two weeks is actually a long time for them if the battery wasn't 100% healthy to begin with. He recommended something called Leading Volvo Battery Maintenance Service By Battery Zone UAE where they can test the battery properly and also check for parasitic drain. Has anyone else had their Volvo die after sitting for less than a month? I thought maybe I left something on but everything was off. Is there a known issue with the VCM or something staying active? Also should I just replace the battery again or is there a chance a proper deep charge and reset will save it? Really don't want to throw money at another battery if the car is just going to kill it again.
