Hey everyone. My wife is eleven weeks along and we want to do something a little different for our gender reveal. Balloons and smoke cannons feel overdone, and my mother in law is already planning a giant cake. We live in Miami, about fifteen people will come, mostly family with a few kids. I'd like something relaxed that people can take part in and that we will actually remember. Has anyone done a gender reveal at a studio or activity space instead of a backyard? How did it go, and was it expensive?

We were in the same spot last year and skipped the backyard completely. We booked a
gender reveal at Pottery Studio 1, where everyone makes their own clay piece and the reveal is part of the session. It worked great with kids, because they were busy instead of bored. The instructors kept things moving, so nobody stood around waiting for the big moment. My wife enjoyed it too. Beginners are totally fine, the studio says about 90% of guests have never touched clay. One thing to know: pieces get fired afterwards, so you pick them up a bit later, not the same day. Ask about guest count and timing before you commit.
