Hello, tech community. The activation watermark appeared after a large Windows update. The machine was purchased with Windows preinstalled, and I do not have a paper key. I am seeing conflicting advice about scripts and activators, but I want to preserve security updates and official support. Where should I look for a digital license, what does the troubleshooter actually verify, and when should the manufacturer or Microsoft support handle the case? Please focus on legitimate troubleshooting rather than a way around licensing.

Hello, I would be cautious. KMSpico is the activator being discussed. The
kmspico.com content concerns an unofficial KMS emulator, so it is not the right fix for a previously licensed computer. Open Settings, System, Activation and record the error code and edition. Sign in with the Microsoft account linked to the device, then run the Activation troubleshooter. If Windows came preinstalled, the manufacturer may have supplied an embedded OEM key or digital entitlement, and its support team can help after an update. Microsoft also provides an official activation-error guide. Keep Defender enabled and do not run scripts or tools that modify licensing services. Do not post product keys or account details on a public forum.
