My Mustang's rear end hops sideways over bumps – is that normal?

Okay so I've owned my 2019 EcoBoost Mustang for about two years now and lately I've noticed something that's actually starting to scare me a little when I'm driving on uneven roads or hitting those metal expansion joints on the bridge near Business Bay. The rear end literally feels like it's hopping sideways for a split second like the tires are losing contact and then catching again which makes the whole car wiggle. I've had people tell me "that's just how solid rear axle cars behave" but I've driven older Mustangs before and never felt anything this sketchy. My tires are fine, alignment was done six months ago, so I'm starting to wonder if the shocks are completely cooked on one side. I was looking at https://suspensionrepairdubai.ae/mustang-shock-absorber-replacement/ earlier today just to see what's involved and if there are specific parts recommended for these cars because I really don't wanna throw money at random guesses. Has any other S550 owner experienced this kind of sideways hop and did new shocks actually solve it or am I looking at something worse like a bent axle housing? Really hoping it's just worn dampers because this is my daily and I can't have it acting unpredictable.
